Bridging the gap between Traditional Knowledge and Western systems of knowledge can have useful implications in the teaching-learning process for students of all ages. Join NOAA’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center's staff to discuss ways to include Traditional Knowledge in your lessons. We will share culturally relevant, place-based resources co-produced by NOAA scientists and local educators that engage students in discovery, discussion, and presentation. Participants will have the opportunity to see examples, ask questions, and brainstorm with each other.
