Designing a Math Trail

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

Participate in a local math trail to experience the possibilities for how students can apply their mathematical knowledge while learning more about their nearby environment.

Versatile, inexpensive, and easy to create and use, a math trail is a natural extension of the classroom environment. Learn how to design a math trail that incorporates a sequence of stops that will get your students to apply mathematics in an environment outside of the classroom.  Other content areas such as art, science, and cultural history can also be integrated into the math trail problems.
